A four hour scenic van ride from Toronto will take us to our access point. From there we will make our way by canoe to our campsite. Upon our arrival to the campsite we will set up camp, and prepare for Dinner. An evening walk to the lake followed by a warm campfire will prepare us for a good night's rest. The next morning after a hearty breakfast we will make our way through the pristine forests and take in the beauty of the landscape carved out from the glaciers, which slowly melted north about 11,000 years ago. We will eventually make our way back to our camp to prepare for lunch. Later on, we can hike through a mixed forest while identifying and gathering wild plants . The rest of the evening will be dedicated to your choice of activities; exploring the lake by canoe, fishing (with a valid license), learning unique wilderness games, stargazing, wolf howling or just stargazing. The last day, after breakfast we slowly make our way back to the access point and eventually back to Toronto, well rested and relaxed. The best camper will be awarded with a grand prize!
This schedule is tentative and has no time limits. Depending on different factors, we will adjust accordingly. We are all on a set routine everyday of our lives and POW-WOW Wilderness Trips does not believe in setting a “time” schedule. After all, the reason we are going is to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We promise that you will return to the city stress free and relaxed.
